Job Purpose As a Food Service Worker , you will help maintain a safe, clean, and organized kitchen environment while following dietary safety guidelines. You will assist with food preparation, meal service, and sanitation to ensure a high standard of hygiene and food safety. Your work will support our mission by serving residents, guests, and coworkers with respect and care. Key Responsibilities Prepare, serve, and deliver meals, including staff lunch and Mercy Center Auburn deliveries Assist with setup and breakdown for special events and catering Maintain high sanitation standards in kitchen, dining areas, storage, and equipment Operate kitchen equipment safely and correctly Follow proper procedures for cleaning, chemical use, and hand-washing Monitor and replenish supplies, wash dishes, carts, shelves, ovens, stoves, and other equipment Communicate respectfully with coworkers, residents, and guests Participate in safety training and follow all OSHA guidelines
Qualifications Required:
At least 1 year of related food service experience or equivalent education/training Valid CA Food Handlers Card (or obtain within 30 days of employment) Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently Team player with strong service orientation
Preferred:
