Job Description
We are a busy catering company looking for a new office staff member. The normal days for this position are Monday, Wednesday and Thursday . Hours range from 7 am to 5 pm with an average of 8 hours per day. We are looking for employee that is able to work in the office on a regular basis and also jump in and do deliveries when needed. During busy times of the year (especially graduation season and month of December) you must be available to pick up extra hours and days if needed. This position has the opportunity to move into a full-time position in the future with the right candidate.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Requires a lot of customer service; requires heavy phone and email inquires as well as direct contact with customers on a daily basis
- Daily typing of invoices, processing orders and creating estimates for customers in a timely manner
- Coordinate catering deliveries & pick-ups as well as coordinating driver schedules and delivery routes
- Loading food, beverages, ice and equipment into cargo vans and making deliveries when needed
- Preparing and gathering coffee, equipment, beverages and all items needed for delivery
- Accommodate last minute orders and add-ons efficiently and courteously
- Make daily delivery schedules, place bread and vendor orders
- Keep an eye on timing of pickup and delivery orders to assure all orders are going out on time
- Work directly with the delivery drivers and kitchen staff to ensure orders are on time, accurate and meeting Ann's Catering requirements
- Assist customers with pickup orders and loading platters into their vehicle
- Able to drive our company vehicle to make deliveries when needed
Required Skills:
- Minimum 3 years experience working in an office setting preferably in the catering or hospitality industry
- Proven customer service skills
- in fact, a love of customer service!
- Professional and friendly phone manner a must
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- You be able to type at a fast & accurate speed
- Excellent follow through & organizational skills with extreme attention to detail
- Must be able to jump in as a team player and help out wherever needed (this may include helping in kitchen, making a delivery order or helping brew coffee)
- Ability to multi-task, with very frequent interruptions in a loud and fast paced environment
- Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs
- Must have a valid drivers license and be able to drive a cargo van Only seriously applicants apply.
