The Banquet Set-Up Attendant is responsible for the timely and accurate set-up, breakdown, and maintenance of banquet and event spaces in accordance with event specifications and The Vintage Club's standards of service, presentation, cleanliness, and safety. This position supports banquets, meetings, member functions, special events, and other Club activities by arranging tables, chairs, staging, linens, equipment, and other event materials. The Banquet Set-Up Attendant works closely with Banquet, Food & Beverage, Culinary, Housekeeping, and other departments to ensure event spaces are properly prepared and maintained.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Review banquet event orders (BEOs), diagrams, and instructions to determine room set-up requirements. Set up tables, chairs, staging, dance floors, podiums, linens, and other banquet equipment according to event specifications. Ensure banquet and meeting rooms are properly arranged, clean, organized, and ready prior to the scheduled start of each event. Break down event spaces promptly following functions and return furniture, equipment, and supplies to designated storage areas. Move, load, unload, transport, and properly store banquet furniture and equipment. Maintain banquet storage areas in a clean, safe, and organized manner. Inspect tables, chairs, equipment, and event areas for cleanliness, damage, or safety concerns and report issues to management. Assist with last-minute room changes or adjustments as directed by Banquet Management. Maintain cleanliness of banquet rooms, pre-function areas, service corridors, storage areas, and other assigned workspaces. Assist with the placement and removal of event signage, decorations, portable bars, buffet equipment, and other event-related items as directed. Coordinate with banquet servers, culinary staff, housekeeping, and other departments to ensure events are properly prepared. Handle Club property, furniture, and equipment carefully to prevent damage. Follow established procedures for the safe use of carts, dollies, ladders, and other equipment. Follow all Club safety, sanitation, emergency, and workplace procedures. Immediately report accidents, injuries, damaged equipment, unsafe conditions, or other concerns to a supervisor. Provide courteous and professional service when interacting with members, guests, coworkers, and vendors. Maintain a professional appearance and comply with established uniform and grooming standards. Perform other duties as assigned based on operational and event needs.QUALIFICATIONS
