This position is responsible for the proper set-up, breakdown, organization, and maintenance of banquet and event spaces for weddings, golf tournaments, corporate events, meetings, celebrations, and other special events. Hours vary depending on scheduled events. Days off are flexible. Must be available weekends and holidays. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Works closely with the Banquet and Catering team to ensure all event spaces are prepared accurately, safely, and on time according to the Banquet Event Order (BEO) & Floor Plan. Responsible for setting up tables, chairs, linens, wedding gazebos, wedding arches, dance floor, ceremony areas, reception spaces, and all other banquet equipment and items required for each specific event. Responsible for returning all equipment to their respective areas. Ensure event space is set up and ready on time according to the event timeline listed on the Banquet Event Order (BEO) & Floor Plan. Ensure every event space is presented professionally and consistently while meeting or exceeding the expectations of our clients and guests. Ensure service corridor safety by transporting all equipment in the proper manner. Maintain a safe work environment by promptly identifying and addressing spills, breakage, and other potential hazards in accordance with established safety procedures. Ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are gathered and properly organized for each event while maintaining clean, orderly, and safe banquet set-up and service areas. Setting ballroom or other banquet facility space according to Banquet Event Order (BEO) and assist in moving any tables and chairs as assigned throughout the event. Responsible for the proper handling of all equipment and props and knowledge of the appropriate table setting and service ware. Maintain tables and all supplies for the duration of the function. Communicate any challenges or customer requests with the Banquet Captain or Catering Sales Manager. Ensure all linens are placed in proper bags and bins and sorted according to size, shape and color. Work effectively and efficiently with the banquet team, arriving at your scheduled start time in appropriate uniform ready to work. Other duties as assigned.
