ANNOUNCEMENT OF POSITION VACANCY SUMMARY

: Under general supervision, the Student Assistant Front of House/Dish supports daily operations by providing friendly customer service, assisting with food service, maintaining clean and organized dining areas, and helping with dishwashing and kitchen support. This position provides students with hands-on experience in a fast-paced team environment while developing customer service, teamwork, communication, and workplace skills.

SOME OF THE THINGS THAT YOU WILL GET TO DO

(this is just a small sampling of work variety): Cleaning and sanitizing all soiled dishes including but not limited to pots, pans, utensils, small wares, buckets, containers, and other equipment. Responsible for the use and daily maintenance of commercial dishwashers. Maintaining dish room clean and organized. Working in a team environment Maintains excellent customer service and positive attitude towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc. Adheres to a regular work schedule. Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Excellent communication skills. Obtain Food Handler's Certification within 30 days of hire date for individuals handling food items. Ability to multitask. Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance as well as adhere to schedule, which will include evening and weekend shifts. Work schedule is subject to change due to campus holidays and holiday break closures. Current Cal Poly Pomona Student.

Develop individual respect for one another, respect for personal and the University as a whole. Ability to adhere to a regular work schedule.

PREFERRED

Any dishwashing/restaurant experience preferred.
