SUMMARY:
The Busser is a professional with attention to detail, professionalism , and efficiency who will ensure a seamless and memorable dining experiences for our guests. This role will work closely with servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to uphold the standards for impeccable service in a fast-paced environment. By delivering impeccable service , the Hostess will uphold La Bahia Hotel & Spa's service standards (inspired by Forbes) while elevating our beachfront property.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITY
Assist servers in delivering flawless service by promptly clearing tables, resetting them to exact standards, and ensuring a pristine dining environment. Anticipate guest needs by refilling water glasses, replacing silverware, and offering additional services as required. Maintain a polished and professional demeanor, engaging with guests discreetly and courteously. Support the service team in delivering personalized, high-touch experiences for VIP guests. Work closely with servers, food runners, and sommeliers to ensure smooth service flow. Communicate effectively with the kitchen and management regarding guest needs or special requests. Monitor and replenish tabletop essentials. Demonstrate knowledge of fine-dining service procedures, including proper handling of china, crystal, and flatware. Attend pre-shift meetings and training sessions to refine skills and stay updated on menu changes. Ensure tables are impeccably set with proper linens, polished glassware, and premium silverware. Assist with pre-service setup and post-service breakdown, including polishing glassware and silverware. Efficiently clear dishes, glassware, and utensils between courses while adhering to fine-dining etiquette. Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the dining room, side stations, and service areas. Follow all sanitation, safety, and service standard protocols. Maintain impeccable grooming standards, wearing the assigned uniform exactly as specified (proper fit, cleanliness, and presentation at all times. Wear the official hotel lapel pin prominently as part of the uniform requirement, unless embroidered onto uniform. Perform all other duties that may be assigned as needed by your manager. QUALIFICATIONS
(2) years of experience in upscale dining busser role, luxury hotel and/or resort preferred Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time. Multilingual abilities highly preferred Capable of maintaining composure during peak hours Capability to carry trays (Up to 30 lbs.) Excellent communication skills Flexible to work in different shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Highly organized with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently and in a team environment This role offers a dynamic work environment where your contributions directly impact the guest experience.
