A Busser, Banquet Worker, or Cafeteria Attendant assists with food service at a restaurant, large banquet hall or cafeteria. Removes used dishes, sets tables with clean dishes and linens, replenishes foods served at food stations or buffet tables, and provides water, coffee or other beverages for patrons.
The Banquet Captain will supervise the floor and banquet service staff to coordinate the execution of events and exceed guest expectations. This role leads our banquet servers and bartenders, and makes sure food is presented neatly, served on time and that all functions are coordinated properly. Salary for this position is (based on experience): $30.00/hour. Responsibilities:
Responsible for controlling all aspects in the execution of banquet function. Effectively supervise the Banquet staff during all food and beverageservice. Coordinating every aspect of the Banquet staff during all food and beverage service. Assist the Banquet Manager in the complete operation of the Banquet Department. Responsible for adhering to hotel policies and procedures. Responsible for adhering to all liquor liability laws. Must assist/conduct all designated staff/pre-function meetings. Complete otherdutiesassigned by management. Must follow all details as describedonBanquet Event Orders (BEO's). Mustbe able to set tables to specifications, carry trays, and have excellent customer service experience. Complete banquet consumption sheets asdesignatedby the Director of Banquets. Attend department meetings and othercompanyrequiredtrainings.
Qualifications:
Previousbanquet leadership experiencerequired, 5+ years of experience in a four-star/four-diamond hotel or resort is strongly preferred. Must have unexpired Food Handlers and TABC - or obtain upon hire. Mustbe willing toworka flexible schedule, including weekends,holidaysand evenings. Must have excellent interpersonal,oraland written communication skills. Ability to multitask and portray a friendly demeanor in a fast-paced environment. Must consistentlydemonstratea teamwork-oriented and positive attitude. Must be able tolift upto 50lbs and stand and walk forlong periodsof time, including the duration of a full shift. Must be able to walk, push, pull, stoop,bendand lift items of moderate weight. Must be 21 years or older.
