Overview Join our team at Lampu Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi as a Busser and play an important role in creating a smooth and enjoyable dining experience for our guests. In this position, you'll help maintain a clean and organized dining area, reset tables quickly, and support servers and kitchen staff during busy service. Your attention to detail and ability to stay on top of things will directly impact how efficiently the restaurant runs. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role where teamwork is everything. You'll interact with both guests and staff, helping create a welcoming atmosphere while gaining valuable experience in the restaurant industry. Responsibilities Maintain cleanliness throughout the dining area, kitchen, and service stations to uphold health and safety standards Assist with bussing tables, clearing dishes, and resetting tables efficiently to ensure smooth service flow Support food service operations by handling food preparation, plating, and presentation under supervision Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting guests warmly, answering questions, and addressing needs promptly Aid in food handling tasks such as stocking supplies, organizing storage areas, and ensuring proper food safety procedures are followed Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate orders and ensure timely delivery of meals Contribute to a positive team environment by communicating effectively with colleagues and management Qualifications Prior experience in food service, restaurant work, catering, or hospitality is preferred but not required Strong communication skills to interact confidently with guests and team members Ability to handle food safely and follow proper hygiene practices in line with industry standards Experience with cleaning routines, bussing tables, or supporting kitchen operations is a plus Knowledge of the food industry or hotel environment enhances your fit for this role Reliable work ethic with a positive attitude and willingness to work flexible hours in a fast-paced setting
