The Dietary Aid supports dietary operations by assisting with meal preparation, tray assembly, delivery, sanitation, and customer service. This role is essential in ensuring patients, staff, and visitors receive safe, nutritious, and timely meals in accordance with dietary guidelines and food safety standards. The Cook is responsible for preparing nutritious, high-quality meals in accordance with dietary guidelines and food safety standards. This role ensures patients, staff, and visitors receive appealing and properly prepared meals while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Dietary Aid Assemble and distribute patient meal trays according to diet orders and meal tickets Deliver and retrieve meal trays in a timely and courteous manner Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as portioning, plating, and stocking Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, tray line, dining areas, and equipment Wash dishes, utensils, carts, and kitchen equipment following sanitation procedures Follow food safety, infection control, and HACCP guidelines at all times Cook Prepare and cook meals according to standardized recipes, dietary restrictions, and portion guidelines Follow all therapeutic diet requirements, including modified textures and special nutritional plans Ensure food is prepared in a timely manner and meets quality and presentation standards Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, work areas, and storage spaces Monitor food temperatures during preparation and service to ensure compliance with health standards Collaborate with dietary staff to ensure efficient meal service and patient satisfaction Adhere to all safety policies, infection control standards, and regulatory guidelines Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nokomis, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr. Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Nokomis,FL.
