Non-Exempt Position Summary We are the new ownership group looking for a Bus Person, an integral member of the Tideline Resort & Spa Food & Beverage team, supporting the service staff in delivering a seamless, polished, and memorable dining experience. This position is responsible for maintaining impeccable table presentation, promptly clearing and resetting tables, replenishing service stations, and assisting servers throughout the guest experience. The ideal candidate is attentive, energetic, professional, and takes pride in anticipating the needs of both guests and fellow team members. Essential Responsibilities Maintain a clean, organized, and impeccably presented dining room throughout each service period. Promptly clear used plates, glassware, flatware, and other service items from guest tables with discretion and minimal disruption. Reset tables accurately and efficiently according to Tideline Resort & Spa standards. Maintain fully stocked and organized service stations with appropriate silverware, glassware, linens, condiments, and other service essentials. Assist servers with table maintenance and service throughout the guest experience. Deliver and replenish water, bread, butter, and other appropriate items as directed by the service team. Anticipate guest and server needs and respond promptly to requests. Transport soiled tableware safely and efficiently to the appropriate dishwashing or stewarding area. Assist with maintaining cleanliness and organization of service areas, dining spaces, and back-of-house pathways. Support opening, closing, and side-work responsibilities as assigned. Communicate effectively with servers, food runners, culinary staff, stewarding, and management to maintain a smooth flow of service. Assist coworkers and other departments whenever needed to ensure seamless restaurant operations. Interact with guests in a warm, courteous, and professional manner when appropriate. Maintain a polished appearance and demonstrate proper luxury-resort service etiquette at all times. Follow all resort standards for sanitation, food safety, cleanliness, and service. Perform other related duties as assigned by management. Qualifications & Skills Previous experience in a luxury hotel, resort, upscale restaurant, or fine dining environment preferred. Genuine interest in hospitality and providing exceptional guest service. Strong awareness of dining room activity and the ability to anticipate service needs. Knowledge of proper table settings, service ware, and restaurant etiquette. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Positive, professional, and service-oriented attitude. Ability to follow direction while taking initiative when appropriate. Reliable, punctual, adaptable, and willing to assist wherever needed. Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak resort periods. Ability to frequently bend, reach, stoop, lift, carry, push, and pull. Ability to safely lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to move or push carts or equipment weighing up to 150 pounds. Ability to safely navigate crowded dining rooms and service areas. Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment for extended periods. Ability to work indoors and outdoors as required by resort operations. Clean tables, timely service support, a well-maintained dining environment, and discreet interactions all contribute to the overall impression of the resort. Every task should be performed with care, urgency, professionalism, and genuine hospitality . Safety & Security Associates are expected to follow all Tideline Resort & Spa safety, sanitation, and security policies and procedures. This includes proper lifting and carrying techniques, safe operation and movement of carts, appropriate handling of glassware and tableware, chemical safety, maintaining clear service pathways, and promptly reporting hazards or safety concerns.
