Job Description

Position Summary Governors Towne Club is seeking energetic, service-oriented Banquet Event Staff to support weddings, private parties, corporate functions, and member events. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working as part of a team, and takes pride in delivering an exceptional guest experience for some of the most important occasions in our members' and guests' lives. Key Responsibilities Set up and break down banquet rooms according to event diagrams, including tables, chairs, linens, place settings, and décor Provide attentive food and beverage service during plated dinners, buffets, and receptions, including serving, bussing, and clearing Assist bartenders and servers with beverage service as needed Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet spaces, service areas, and storage throughout events Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests Coordinate with the Banquet Captain/Event Manager to ensure timelines and service standards are met Assist with load-in/load-out of event equipment, décor, and vendor items Follow all food safety, alcohol service, and club safety policies Maintain a polished, professional appearance and demeanor at all times, especially during high-visibility events like weddings Qualifications Prior banquet, catering, restaurant, or hospitality experience preferred but not required Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as events dictate Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 30-40 lbs for extended periods Strong teamwork and communication skills Positive attitude and composure under pressure Responsible Alcohol Service certification preferred or willingness to obtain
