Dining Facility Attendant Location:
Fort Benning, Georgia Position Overview The Dining Facility Attendant supports daily food service operations at Fort Benning by assisting with meal service, sanitation, and customer support. This role ensures a clean, safe, and efficient dining environment in accordance with contractual requirements, food safety standards, and installation policies. Key Responsibilities Meal Service Support Assist with food line setup, serving, and breakdown during meal periods. Replenish food items and supplies as needed to support continuous service. Provide courteous and professional customer service to all patrons. Sanitation & Safety Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, serving lines, kitchen spaces, and equipment. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards, including proper use of PPE. Support dishwashing, waste disposal, and cleaning schedules. Operational Assistance Assist with receiving and stocking supplies. Support opening and closing procedures as directed by DFAC leadership. Report safety hazards, equipment issues, or sanitation concerns promptly. Team Support Work collaboratively with food service staff and supervisors to meet operational demands. Follow instructions and procedures to support efficient, mission-ready operations. Qualifications Experience Prior food service or customer service experience preferred, but not required. Experience in institutional or high-volume dining environments is a plus. Skills Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to cleanliness and safety. Professional demeanor and teamwork skills. Certifications Food Handler or ServSafe certification preferred or ability to obtain within required timeframe. Work Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds as needed. Availability to work flexible schedules, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays. Additional Information This position plays a vital role in supporting daily feeding operations and overall mission readiness at Fort Benning.
