Job Description
Proof of the Pudding (POP) provides award-winning catering and provisions to conferences, meetings, exhibitions, conventions, and special events at the Gas South District Convention Center. As one of Georgia's busiest convention centers, every day brings new opportunities to create, design, and execute memorable events for a variety of guests. The Food Hall Concessions Line Attendant delivers exceptional guest service while preparing and presenting premium food offerings in a fast-paced, upscale concessions environment. This role is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food quality, cleanliness, efficiency, and hospitality to create an outstanding guest experience during all events. The ideal candidate has Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES
Prepare and serve premium menu items according to established recipes, presentation standards, and food safety guidelines. Provide warm, professional, and attentive customer service while creating a welcoming guest experience. Accurately process guest orders and operate the point-of-sale (POS) system. Maintain an organized, clean, and fully stocked workstation throughout each event. Monitor food quality, freshness, and holding temperatures in accordance with health department regulations. Assist with opening and closing duties, including station setup, breakdown, cleaning, and inventory. Replenish food, beverages, condiments, and service ware as needed to maintain uninterrupted service. Communicate effectively with culinary, team associates, and management teams to ensure smooth operations. Handle guest concerns professionally and promptly, escalating issues when appropriate. Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, ingredients, allergens, and beverage selections. Follow all company policies, sanitation procedures, and workplace safety standards. Support team members in concession duties when operational needs are required. Performs other related duties as required. Previous experience in concessions, restaurants, catering, hospitality, or food service preferred. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong teamwork and positive attitude. Basic cash handling and POS experience preferred. Food Handler Certification preferred (or ability to obtain as required).Work Environment:
This position will consist of event attendance, preparation, set up, and breakdown. This position will work mostly out of mainly stay within the Gas South District Convention Center but may travel to other venues within the Gas South Region Physical Demands Stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8-12 hours). Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40 pounds. Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and work in hot or cold environments. Position Salary & Benefits:
This is considered a part-time hourly position with a starting range of $13- 15/hour.
