Position Overview The PT School Cafeteria Assistant serves as a key crew member on MACS' Operations Team by helping to ensure our scholars are fed nutritious meals everyday in a safe & clean environment. In addition, it is essential that the person for this role is committed to supporting all functions of school operations, organized, able to multitask, work flexibly and maintains the confidentiality/privacy rights of all scholars, family, & staff. General Duties & Responsibilities Primary Responsibilities Operate specialized food service equipment. Assist in food production, service and/or cleanup tasks as assigned. Receive and unpack food and supplies. Clean and maintain food service equipment and facilities. Participate in ongoing professional training. Observe safety and security procedures; report potentially unsafe conditions Perform all other duties as assigned. Education, Training, ExperienceMinimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous custodial or janitorial experience in a school setting is preferred. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Willingness to perform routine tasks consistently. Must complete all responsibilities without supervision after training. Must be punctual and reliable for scheduled shifts. Ability to stand and walk for 5-8 hours daily. Must be able to lift/carry and push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds.
