Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Banquet Attendant to join our team. This role is essential in providing exceptional service to our guests and ensuring a positive event experience. The ideal candidate will have a background in the food industry, with skills in guest services, and banquet service knowledge. If you are passionate about hospitality and enjoy working in a dynamic environment, we encourage you to apply. This role includes a guaranteed 40 hours per week. Responsibilities Provide outstanding customer service to all guests, ensuring their needs are met promptly and courteously. Facilitate the set up and breakdown of catering events, including, but not limited to corporate events and weddings, directing other staff as needed for help. Support banquet operations by setting up and breaking down event spaces, maintaining banquet equipment and supplies. Keeping inline with cleanliness and organizational practices. Handle guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism, fostering positive guest relations. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and maintain quality standards. Follow all health and safety regulations regarding food handling and sanitation. Qualifications Previous experience in the food service or hospitality industry is preferred, including restaurant or hotel experience. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests. Culinary experience or banquet experience is a plus, enhancing your ability to support kitchen operations effectively. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective guest interaction and collaboration with sales, catering and culinary teams. Experience with coffee preparation is beneficial but not required. This position is guaranteed 40 hours a week, and may at times work in other areas of the hotel if business requires.
