Yesterday Job Description Full Time Food ServiceWorker 6.5 Hours Per day General Hours of the kitchen are 7:00 AM – 1:30 PM. (these hours could vary) This is a 10 month position during the regular school year. Starting pay $15.00 per hour plus benefits
Job Description:
Assist with preparing and serving food in a quick and pleasant manner. Assumes responsibility for seeing to it that during meal service periods, the supply of foods offered is replenished regularly. Assists in the daily cleanup of the kitchen and service areas. Performs major cleaning of refrigerators and storerooms at regularly scheduled intervals as designated by the head cook. Assumes responsibility for storage and disposal of unused food. Use various kitchen equipment such as dish machines, ovens, slicers, etc. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Physically able to work in a standing position for prolonged periods and walk much of the time during the day. Is able to work in warm surroundings. Has manual dexterity to handle knives and other pieces of kitchen equipment such as slicers, mixers, choppers, and scales. Is able to lift materials weighing up to 45 pounds.
Educational Qualifications:
It is required that each cook complete the Basic Iowa School Food Service Short Course and Short Course II or an acceptable substitute approved by the superintendent. •The above job descriptions describe the scope of the responsibility and essential functions of these positions, but should not be considered to be an all-inclusive listing of work requirements.
