Position:

Food Service Worker District 428 Dekalb (Monday-Friday)

Job Description:

The Food Service Worker is responsible for preparing, serving food, and cleaning dishes, in one of our District 428 Schools. The cleaning duties include wiping down surfaces, washing dishes and sanitizing tables and equipment. The position requires the ability to work independently. All other duties assigned.

Prepare food and serve, and clean dishes, and equipment. Maintain a clean and sanitized work area. Report any maintenance issues with the production floor to the Production Manager. Comply with all safety rules and regulations. Maintain a positive attitude and work well with others in a team environment. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Must be able to communicate effectively with staff and students. Must be able to follow oral and written instructions. Must be comfortable with cooking and prepping cafeteria food. Must be able to work in a team environment. Must be able to follow policies and procedures. Must be able to work on your feet for extended periods of time in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to lift 50+ pounds frequently.
