Job Overview Busser The Barn Steakhouse | Highland Park, IL The Barn Steakhouse is looking for detail-oriented, hardworking Bussers to join our front-of-house team. This role is essential to the flow of service and guest experience. Bussers at The Barn are true hospitality professionals who take pride in cleanliness, teamwork, and pace. What You'll Do Support dining room service by clearing, resetting, and sanitizing tables Maintain clean, fully stocked service stations Assist servers and runners with table marking and course transitions Keep floors, chairs, banquettes, and high-touch surfaces clean throughout service Restock glassware, silverware, plates, linens, and supplies Communicate with hosts, servers, runners, and managers to support smooth service flow Follow all sanitation, safety, and service standards Perform opening, running, closing, and weekly sidework as assigned What We're Looking For A strong work ethic and sense of urgency Ability to stay organized and calm in a fast-paced environment Team-first mindset — no "that's not my job" attitude Attention to detail and pride in a clean, polished dining room Ability to be on your feet for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs Restaurant experience preferred, but we will train the right candidate What We Offer Competitive hourly pay Consistent scheduling A professional, respectful team environment Opportunity to learn and grow in a high-end hospitality setting A restaurant culture that values teamwork and accountability Schedule Evening shifts Weekends and holidays required Part-time and full-time availability considered Why The Barn Steakhouse We believe that great service starts with strong support.
