Food Handler Certification Full Job Description Position Title:
Support Staff Position summary: Support staff members support servers and kitchen staff by running food, setting, clearing and re-setting tables, effectively performing "in-service" ongoing table maintenance and adhering to the service standards set forth by Alter management. Support staff are also responsible for adhering to sanitation and safety policies as well as maintaining a clean work environment in accordance with their shiftly duties.Tasks:
Deliver food orders from the kitchen to customers' tables rapidly and accurately Act as the contact point between Front of the House and Back of the House staff Communicate food issues to chefs, paying attention to priorities and special requests (e.g. food allergies) Ensure food is served in accordance with safety standards (e.g. proper temperature) Answer guests' questions about ingredients and menu items Inform restaurant staff about customers' feedback or requests (e.g. when they ask for the check) Prepares dining room for patrons by cleaning and setting tables; setting decorations, condiments, candles, napkins, service plates, and utensils. Protects establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation and safety policies. Maintains menu presentation by keeping menus clean; replacing damaged or soiled pages; cleaning chalkboards; lettering specials on chalkboards. Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to patron spills or other special needs. Supports wait staff by setting-up and replenishing condiment stands, trash containers liners, bus stations and bathrooms. Performs all opening/closing duties as set forth by Alter management. Updates job knowledge by participating in staff training opportunities. Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.Skills:

Experience And Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Proper food-handling certificate(s).Job Types:
