About Us:
The Parish House on Union is a premier event venue hosting weddings and events. We are looking for high-energy, reliable Event Runners to join our weekend team. If you like staying active, don't mind a physical workout on the job, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this is the perfect role for you!
The Role:
As an Event Setup & Banquet Runner, you will be the backbone of our event operations. This is a highly physical, fast-paced position that requires constant movement throughout the shift. You will be responsible for ensuring the venue is set up correctly and keeping the flow of food, dishes, and equipment moving smoothly between floors.
Key Responsibilities:
Event Setup & Teardown:
Safely move, lift, and arrange heavy tables, chairs, and event equipment prior to and following events.
Food & Beverage Transport:
Carry heavy, loaded food trays and delicate glass racks up and down multiple flights of stairs safely and efficiently.
Bussing & Dish Management:
Transport heavy tubs of dirty dishes and silverware up and down stairs to the dishwashing area.
Venue Upkeep:
Manage trash removal throughout the evening, carrying bags to the designated dumpsters.
Team Support:
Assist servers, bartenders, and coordinators with any physical tasks or rapid-response needs during the event.
What We're Looking For:
Physical Stamina:
You must be able to repeatedly lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50+ lbs.
Stair Navigation:
This venue has stairs. You must be comfortable walking up and down stairs while carrying heavy, awkward items for the duration of a 7-hour shift.
Reliability:
You must be punctual and consistently available for the Saturday and Sunday 5:00 PM to Midnight shifts.
