Duties Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and presentation standards, ensuring quality and consistency. Assist with food handling tasks including portioning, plating, and maintaining proper food safety practices throughout all stages of service. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, such as ovens, mixers, dishwashers, and POS (Point of Sale) systems for processing cash transactions. Maintain cleanliness by cleaning workstations, utensils, and dining areas in accordance with food safety sanitizing procedures. Support catering and banquet events by setting up tables, serving guests in person, and managing food distribution smoothly. Follow food safety management protocols to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations. Handle weight-based tasks such as portion control and inventory management with accuracy and care. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests professionally, addressing inquiries promptly, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Requirements Previous experience in fine dining or restaurant environments is preferred; experience in catering or banquet settings is a plus. Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary practices within the food industry or hospitality sector. Familiarity with food safety sanitizing procedures and food handling regulations to ensure health standards are met. Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively while adhering to manual handling guidelines. Basic math skills for processing transactions, measuring ingredients, and managing inventory accurately. Strong customer service skills with a focus on in-person engagement and positive guest interactions. Experience with POS systems for processing payments efficiently during service hours. Ability to handle weight-related tasks such as lifting trays or boxes of supplies safely. Previous banquet or catering experience is advantageous; dietary aide experience is also valued. Demonstrated knowledge of wine service or wine knowledge can enhance guest experiences in fine dining settings.
