In this vital role, you will deliver exceptional food service, assist with meal preparation, and ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment. Your efforts will contribute to the well-being and satisfaction of our residents, creating a positive atmosphere that promotes health, comfort, and community engagement. Duties Serve meals to residents in accordance with their dietary requirements and preferences, ensuring accuracy and timeliness Assist with food preparation, including basic cooking tasks, portioning, and plating to support kitchen operations Adhere strictly to food safety standards and sanitation protocols, including proper handling, cleaning, and sanitation of kitchen equipment and dining areas Support dietary department staff by bussing tables, cleaning dining spaces, and maintaining a sanitized environment in compliance with healthcare guidelines Operate kitchen equipment safely while following safe lifting practices for heavy lifting tasks and manual handling procedures Manage time efficiently to ensure all residents are served promptly while maintaining high-quality service standards Use personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriately to ensure workplace safety during all food handling and service activities Experience Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is highly desirable Familiarity with food production, meal preparation, and food handling procedures Knowledge of dietary requirements for geriatric or special needs populations is a plus Experience working with geriatric patients or in healthcare environments enhances your ability to meet residents' unique needs Strong time management skills combined with excellent customer service abilities are essential for success in this role Basic math skills for accurate portioning and order management are required Certification in CPR and workplace safety practices is preferred but not mandatory; training can be provided upon hire This position is an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals passionate about providing compassionate care through quality food service. Pay:
$14.00 - $16.00 per hour
