Job Description

Work collaboratively with field specialist and store teams in the execution of sales plans. Execute the Corporate Meat/Seafood Merchandising strategies and plans for respective division. Ensure execution of and establish store accountabilities for sales plans for the Meat Department through frequent and timely store visits; encourage valuable feedback from store leadership, field specialist, and associates that provide opportunities to increase sales, profits. Spend majority of time in stores to ensure Merchandising strategies and plan are executed with excellence. Address issues that hinder stores' ability to meet/exceed customers' expectations for ease of shopping, variety, freshness, cleanliness, regulatory and food safety. Coach and develop direct reports, and store teams to achieve and execute all goals and company strategies and maintain a supply of qualified, promotable individuals. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports Communicate Meat/Seafood sales plans, department standards and inspired selling through regular communication calls Conduct frequent and timely store visits and encourage valuable feedback from store leadership, field specialist, and associates that provide opportunities to increase sales, profits, and to improve shrink Work with field specialist to resolve store issues and remove barriers that prohibit the stores from implementing the budgeted Meat/Seafood department sales plan Understand the competitive landscape within the division and provide necessary feedback to corporate merchandising Oversee the execution of the corporate weekly sales plan providing feedback to corporate merchandising Collaborate with corporate merchandising on executing local seasonal and special merchandising programs Monitor the daily/weekly reports to identify any product cost or transportation charge corrections Work with field specialist in identifying department training needs and ensure the effective use of the training Communicate the corporate sales plan in execution meetings Ensure all store associates, store leadership, field specialists and district managers have a complete understanding of all aspects and functions of Meat/Seafood department and its alignment with the company strategy Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
QUALIFICATIONS MINIMUM
