  • Maintain professionalism when interacting with patients, visitors, coworkers, physicians, vendors, and other hospital personnel.
  • Previous healthcare, housekeeping, food service, customer service, supply, or inventory experience may be preferred or required depending on the position.
Job duties will vary depending on the position and department.
Responsibilities may include:
  • Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary hospital areas, including patient rooms, restrooms, utility areas, and common spaces.
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, polish, and clean floors, furniture, equipment, windows, walls, and fixtures.
  • Collect and properly dispose of trash, waste, linens, and biohazard materials while following required safety procedures.
  • Prepare, season, and cook food according to recipes, production guides, dietary requirements, and food safety standards.
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment and utensils while ensuring proper food handling, cleanliness, and food quality.
  • Manage inventory and supplies, including ordering, receiving, stocking, returning, and monitoring supplies and equipment.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels and assist with restocking specialty carts, supply areas, and consignment items.
  • Monitor equipment and supplies for proper condition and report needed repairs, replacements, or servicing.
  • Assist with receiving and resolving supply or equipment issues to help ensure departments have the resources they need.
  • Work professionally with vendors and sales representatives to communicate department needs and requirements.
  • Assist with requisition questions, returns, credits, and equipment servicing as needed.
  • Support Surgical Services and other departments with supply, equipment, and case cart processes as applicable to the position.
  • Follow all hospital policies and procedures, including safety, quality assurance, infection prevention, food safety, and inventory control standards.
  • Monitor assigned equipment and storage areas to ensure proper conditions and safe operation.
  • Participate in required training, educational programs, skills assessments, in-services, and department meetings.
  • Work as part of a team to support daily hospital operations and provide a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
