Food Services Director
POSITION SUMMARY
Under the general supervision of the Food Services Director, the Cafeteria Helper helps to maintain order and cleanliness in the cafeteria during meal service. This role also assists with kitchen operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include, but are not limited to, the following:
Works with a variety of food service equipment, including but not limited to, slicer, ovens, steamers, dish machine, knives, washing machine/dryer, and cashier at POS terminals.
Monitors student behavior in the cafeteria.
Assists with the cleanliness of the cafeteria by working with the students to clear and clean the tables and floors.
Prepares food and condiments according to the daily menu needs.
Sets up and breaks down serving lines, using proper sanitation procedures.
Cleans kitchen equipment and work areas. This includes washing dishes, pots & pans, cleaning cafeteria eating areas, sweeping the floor and any other general cleaning as needed.
Performs any other duties as assigned by the Superintendent and/or their designee.
QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to positively and professionally communicate with students and staff.
Strong customer service skills.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to multi-task and collaboratively work with students, staff, and administration.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
This is a part time position and there aren't any benefits associated with this position.
Hours:
10:00 AM - 1:30 PM when school is in session.
HOURLY RATE
$19.90 per hour
