Job Summary Join our vibrant team as a Kitchen/Cafeteria Support staff member, working 4 hours per day across 182 days. In this dynamic role, you will be part of the backbone of our food service operations, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all students. Your energy and attention to detail will help deliver a positive dining experience, supporting food preparation, service, and sanitation standards Responsibilities Assist with food preparation and plating to ensure timely service during meal periods Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and cafeteria areas through regular cleaning and sanitizing procedures Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, dishwashers, and food storage units Follow food safety protocols diligently to uphold sanitation standards and prevent contamination Handle manual tasks such as weight handling and organizing supplies for smooth operations Support in processing cash transactions using POS (Point of Sale) systems during cafeteria service Provide friendly, in-person customer service to guests, answering questions and ensuring a positive experience Requirements Previous experience in food industry settings such as catering, restaurant, or banquet environments is preferred Knowledge of food safety management and sanitizing procedures is essential Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and perform manual handling tasks comfortably Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor Experience with POS systems and processing transactions efficiently Culinary or hospitality experience is advantageous, including food preparation or serving roles Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety This role is perfect for motivated individuals passionate about food service and hospitality.
