As part of our commitment to student health and well-being, we are seeking a dedicated School Cafeteria Worker to join our team.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dependable School Cafeteria Worker to assist in the preparation, serving, and cleanup of meals for our students. The ideal candidate should be passionate about providing nutritious and delicious meals to children, maintain a clean and organized cafeteria, and adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Cafeteria Manager in meal preparation and serving, including cutting vegetables, assembling sandwiches, and portioning food itemsMaintain a clean and sanitary cafeteria environment, including cleaning tables, sweeping, mopping, and washing dishesMonitor food temperatures and quality to ensure safety and freshnessFollow all food safety and sanitation guidelines as outlined by the school and local health authoritiesReplenish food and supplies as neededAssist in inventory management and restocking of cafeteria itemsCollaborate with the cafeteria team to ensure efficient and smooth meal serviceProvide excellent customer service to students and staffPerform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalentPrevious experience in a cafeteria, restaurant, or food service setting preferredKnowledge of food safety and sanitation regulationsStrong communication and teamwork skillsAbility to follow recipes and instructions accuratelyFriendly and customer-service-oriented attitude
Certification:
Certified, or ability to become certified, as ServSafe Food Handler within 2 months of employment
Working Conditions:
Frequent standing and movement with regular bending and twisting of neck and trunk, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and/or crouchingContinuous use of hand strength for grasping toolslifting and/or moving of objects up to 50 poundsOccasional exposure to temperatures above 100 degreesOccasional work on slippery surfacesMeeting deadlines with severe time constraints.

Interacting with students, vendors, and staff members.

Frequent loud noise requires raised voices for communication.

Elevated risk of minor injuries such as cuts or burns.
