Immediately Job Description Food Service Worker Riverview School is seeking Food Service Workers to join our culinary team and help provide high-quality meal service in a welcoming, mission-driven environment. Working closely with the Lead Cook and culinary leadership team, Food Service Workers play an important role in daily meal preparation, service, food safety, and kitchen operations. The ideal candidate is dependable, team-oriented, and committed to providing excellent service while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment. Responsibilities
  • Assist with meal preparation and service using established recipes and procedures.
  • Set up, serve, and break down meal service lines.
  • Maintain food safety, sanitation, and kitchen cleanliness standards.
  • Receive and store deliveries and assist with inventory activities.
  • Complete required food safety and temperature logs.
  • Assist with special events, community meals, and other food service activities.
  • Support kitchen operations through dishwashing, cleaning, and organization.
  • Provide friendly and professional service while interacting with students, adult participants, employees, and visitors.
  • Follow all Riverview policies and Department of Health regulations. Qualifications
  • Food service, hospitality, or kitchen experience preferred.
  • ServSafe Certification or ability to obtain certification pre-hire.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Dependable, flexible, and committed to excellent customer service.
  • Commitment to Riverview's mission and values.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift, carry, and push supplies and boxes up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time, bend, kneel, and reach to store/retrieve supplies.
  • Ability to walk extended distances, climb stairs, and generally navigate a large campus environment
  • Occasional environmental exposures to inclement weather.
Other Requirements:
  • Legal authorization to work in the US
  • Suitable background check and fingerprinting results
  • CPR/AED/Standard First Aid or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
