Job Description
The Sandwich Middle High School is searching for an Educational Support Professional (ESP) to support students receiving special education services 1:1, in classrooms, in small groups and/or in a subseparate classroom. This is a full time, grant funded position working 6.5 hours per day.
QUALIFICATIONS / ATTRIBUTES / SKILLS
Experience working with special education students is preferred.
Associate degree preferred but not required.
Organization, patience, and a sense of humor required.
REPORTS TO
Building Principal/Assistant Principal and/or Supervisor
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
(include but are not limited to):
Work cooperatively with the teachers, supervisors, and additional ESPs.
Support students individually or in small groups during classroom instruction.
Provide support in student learning of new material under the supervision of a teacher, if necessary.
Provide academic, social, and behavioral assistance in classrooms settings.
Assist with duties as required by the building principal and teacher.
Participate in district-assigned professional development.
COMPENSATION
Per the ESP Collective Bargaining Agreement located on the Sandwich website.
