CAFETERIA WORKER WALES
ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
7:00a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

REPORT TO:
Cafeteria Manager and Principal
RESPONSIBILITIES
Under general supervision of the cafeteria manager, assist in the preparation and serving of food in a cafeteria. To maintain the food service area, facilities and equipment in a clean and sanitary condition, and to perform related work as required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • assists in the preparation, packaging and serving of food
  • washes dishes and kitchen equipment
  • assists in maintaining proper care of equipment and sanitation of the kitchen
  • acts as cashier, collecting money, making change and counting totals
  • serves food at a school site when needed
  • assists with cleanup of general work area
  • assists in inventory and maintaining necessary records
  • performs other duties as assigned by the Cafeteria Manager/Principal
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or equivalent;
  • Experience working in a cafeteria or in food service preparation field preferred
  • Approved CORI and Fingerprint background results
