Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and reliable Food Runner - Support Staff to join our dynamic restaurant team! In this vital support role, you will act as the bridge between the kitchen and the dining area, ensuring that food reaches guests promptly and accurately. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a seamless dining experience, contributing to guest satisfaction and operational efficiency. This position offers a fantastic opportunity for individuals passionate about food service, eager to develop their skills in a lively restaurant environment. Duties Safely handle and transport food orders from the kitchen to tables using proper manual handling and safe lifting practices. Assist with food preparation, plating, and garnishing as needed to support kitchen staff. Clear and clean tables efficiently by bussing dishes, resetting tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas. Support front-of-house staff by serving food and beverages to guests with friendly, in-person customer service. Manage food running duties using Toast POS systems such as to ensure accurate order delivery. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene through regular cleaning, sanitizing workstations, and proper food handling procedures. Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate timely service and address guest needs promptly. Requirements Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments is preferred but not required. Knowledge of food handling safety standards and proper cleaning protocols. Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely during busy service periods. Strong communication skills for effective teamwork and guest interactions. Familiarity with Toast POS system is a plus. Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
