Be the morning face of the brand-new Home2 Suites by Hilton! We are seeking an early riser with a passion for hospitality to manage our "Inspired Table" complimentary breakfast. While you will join our team shortly before our grand opening to familiarize yourself with the property and equipment, this role is primarily focused on our permanent, daily operations. As a Breakfast Attendant, you will prepare food, maintain a welcoming dining environment, interact warmly with our guests, and ensure the breakfast area and lobby remain spotless throughout the morning.
Core Responsibilities Breakfast Preparation:
Set up and maintain the Home2 "Inspired Table" breakfast buffet. Prepare hot items (such as breakfast sandwiches and bowls), set up the artisan waffle station, brew fresh coffee, and organize cold items (fruit, yogurt, cereals).
Guest Engagement:
Greet guests warmly as they enter the lobby for breakfast. Anticipate needs, assist guests with the waffle makers or coffee machines, and answer any questions about the hotel or the Benton Harbor area.
Dining & Lobby Maintenance:
Continuously monitor the breakfast area to wipe down tables, sanitize countertops, sweep up crumbs, and clear abandoned dishes. Ensure the extended lobby seating area remains clean and organized for guests working or relaxing.
Replenishment:
Monitor food and beverage levels closely during peak breakfast hours, restocking items promptly so the last guest has the same high-quality experience as the first.
Breakdown & Cleaning:
Promptly break down the buffet at the end of service. Thoroughly clean the prep kitchen, wash serving dishes, sanitize equipment, and empty trash receptacles in the lobby and dining space.
Inventory & Prep:
Assist with receiving food deliveries, organizing the pantry and walk-in refrigerators using the First-In-First-Out (FIFO) method, and prepping items for the following day's breakfast service. Qualifications & Skills Must be a reliable early riser (shifts typically begin around 5:00 AM or 5:30 AM). Previous food service, catering, or customer service experience preferred. Outgoing, friendly personality with a genuine desire to make guests feel at home. Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask during busy morning rushes. Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices (ServSafe certification is a plus, but not required). Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk continuously for an entire shift Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting. Ability to carry trays of food, push utility carts, and lift boxes weighing up to 25-30 lbs when restocking supplies.
Pay:
$14.00 - $15.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 40.0 per week
