Breakfast Attendant At Fairfield by Marriott Rochester Hills , breakfast is an important part of the guest experience. As a Breakfast Attendant, you will be responsible for the complete operation of the hotel's complimentary breakfast, including food preparation, buffet setup, guest service, stocking, cleanliness, and breakdown. This position requires someone who is dependable, organized, and committed to providing excellent hospitality while maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. Responsibilities Prepare breakfast food items according to Fairfield by Marriott brand standards and food safety guidelines. Set up the breakfast buffet and dining area before service begins. Ensure all food, beverages, utensils, serving items, and supplies are fully stocked throughout breakfast service. Monitor food quality, freshness, temperature, and presentation. Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner and assist with questions or requests. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming breakfast area at all times. Clear and sanitize tables, countertops, serving stations, and dining areas during and after service. Wash, clean, and properly store breakfast equipment, serving utensils, and supplies. Sweep, vacuum, mop, and maintain the cleanliness of the breakfast room and surrounding public areas. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department requirements. Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management. Properly store food and complete breakfast breakdown procedures at the end of service. Work cooperatively with other hotel departments to ensure an exceptional guest experience. Qualifications Previous food service, hospitality, restaurant, or hotel experience preferred but not required. Ability to work early morning shifts, including weekends and holidays. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail, cleanliness, and food presentation. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift throughout the shift. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
