Job Description
Banquet Captain Job Summary We are looking for an energetic, organized, and detail-oriented Banquet Captain to help lead our banquet service team. The Banquet Captain will oversee event setup, service, and breakdown while ensuring that event details are followed and guests receive excellent service. The ideal candidate is a dependable leader who communicates well, stays calm under pressure, and enjoys working in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Responsibilities Lead and supervise banquet staff during meetings, weddings, and other special events Review banquet event orders and ensure all event details are properly followed Conduct pre-shift meetings and assign duties to banquet staff Coordinate with culinary, sales, and banquet management teams throughout each event Ensure food and beverages are served professionally and at the proper temperature Oversee the setup, cleanliness, organization, and breakdown of banquet spaces Monitor event timing and adjust service as needed Respond professionally to guest requests and help resolve concerns Train employees on service standards, food safety, and proper event procedures Monitor banquet supplies, linens, and equipment and report any shortages or damage Assist with staff scheduling and ensure appropriate coverage for each event Ensure staff follow uniform, attendance, safety, and cleanliness standards Requirements Previous banquet, catering, restaurant, or hospitality experience Previous leadership or supervisory experience is preferred Strong communication and customer-service skills Ability to lead a team and provide clear direction Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management Knowledge of food safety and proper food-and-beverage service Dependable, professional, and able to remain calm under pressure Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Ability to stand for extended periods and lift or move banquet equipment as required Join our banquet team and help us create memorable experiences for our guests. Pay:
