$15.00 per hour
Responsibilities:
Immediately greets and welcomes every guest as they enter the Buffet; acknowledges and thanks all guests as they depart; and offers other information as necessary. Escorts every guest to their table and ensures tables are properly set up. Assists servers and bussers with refilling beverages and/or clearing tables as directed by the manager-on-duty. Accepts payment from customers; operates cash register; makes change; completed all necessary documentation for fund accountability. Keeps the buffet clean and free of food debris. Helps replenish the food on the buffet. Helps put away food in coolers, freezer and dry goods storeroom. Washes, peels, cuts and shreds vegetables and fruits. Organizes and prepares the dish machine and area for operation. Fills the machine, sets up silver soak, prepares dish and glass racks. Ensures proper removal of trash, grease, and dirty linen from cooking area. Cleans and mops floors. Brings buffet food out to the buffet as directed by Sous Chef and or Cooks. Assists with kitchen work during slow periods as assigned. Returns all food to kitchen after meal periods. Observes sanitation procedures, monitors food temperatures, and changes out buffet utensils regularly. Responsible for cleaning all china, glassware, silver, and utensils from all tables and carries them to the kitchen. Wipes table tops and chairs using damp cloth. Replenishes supply of clean linen, silverware, glassware, and dishes in dining room. As necessary, provides excellent service to all Black Bear Casino guests. Greets guests in a cheerful, friendly fashion. Displays a responsive and professional manner in promptly responding to all requests, complaints, and problems. Recognizes that each employee is a representative of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and is responsible for demonstrating courtesy, respect, and sensitivity to the needs of all others, including visitors and co-workers. Represents the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and the department in a positive and professional manner in the community. Required to maintain proper attendance including reporting to work on time in accordance with applicable policies. Maintains a clean and organized work area. Must attend all required department, Title 31 and SAR trainings. Due to changes and modifications in the job from time to time, employees are required to be flexible and assume other responsibilities assigned by management as deemed necessary.
Qualifications:
No Driver's License Required. Youth employment status requires a youth not younger than 16 years of age and be in attendance of a high school or equivalent high school program. If a youth turns 19 while in high school or in an equivalent high school program, he or she may continue as a youth employee until the final school year is completed. Knowledge of cleanliness and sanitation standards for food serving is preferred. Strong customer service skills. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing is required. Ability to work independently and establish priorities is required. Attention to detail and accuracy is required. Ability to establish professional and harmonious working relationships on all projects and with all parties involved. Subject to drug and alcohol testing in accordance with the Fond du Lac Reservation's Personnel Policies. Subject to pre-employment and annual background checks.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Prolonged walking and standing is required Bending, stooping, and lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds is required. All employees shall thoroughly wash hands and arms with soap and water before starting work and wash hands during work hours as often as may be required to remove soil and contamination as well as after visiting the washroom. Subject to inside environmental conditions, including work in a smoking environment.
