Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Banquet Captain to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service leadership and a passion for providing exceptional hospitality. As a Banquet Captain, you will be responsible for overseeing banquet events, ensuring that all aspects of service run smoothly, and leading the team to deliver an outstanding dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise banquet staff during events, ensuring smooth operations and seamless service that aligns with the client's vision. Coordinate with kitchen staff, event coordinators, and clients to ensure all event details are executed according to the BEO. Set up banquet rooms, including tables, chairs, linens, and décor, according to event specifications. Ensure guest needs are met throughout the event, including dietary preferences, special requests, and any last-minute adjustments. Manage and delegate tasks to banquet servers, ensuring all duties are completed on time and to standard. Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor while interacting with guests and event clients. Monitor banquet operations to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies. Assist with event breakdown and cleanup, ensuring all materials are properly stored and the venue is ready for future events. Maintain a positive and efficient work environment, fostering teamwork, and collaboration among staff.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in banquet service, catering, or event leadership preferred. Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks at once. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with staff, guests, and clients. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
