Food Service Worker I (Part-Time) - Plaza 9000 University of Missouri - 4.1 Columbia, MO Job Details Part-time $15.00 - $16.32 an hour 4 hours ago Benefits 403(b) Qualifications Basic math Full Job Description Hiring Department Campus Dining Services Job Description This position includes basic food preparation, service, and/or sanitation tasks. Prepare food according to instructions. Follow proper food handling techniques. Assist in completing the Serving Line Worksheets. Maintain a clean, sanitary, safe, and secure working area. Set up service/preparation areas as assigned. Provide high-quality service to customers; assist in meeting the department's customer service objectives. Direct, help train, and assist student employees in food preparation and service. Clean and replenish the service/preparation areas, dining room, and dishwashing/pot-and-pan areas during and after service. Set up the dish machine and, if applicable, the pot-and-pan washing station. Direct, help train, and assist student employees in the dishwashing and pot-and-pan washing operations. Disassemble and clean/maintain the dish machine. Maintain a clean, sanitary, safe, and secure working area. Provide high-quality service to customers; assist in meeting the department's customer service objectives. Help the department constantly improve and reach its vision (commitment to excellence and passion for people). Perform other duties as assigned. Shift Hours varied, set by manager based on needs. Minimum Qualifications A job offer for this position is contingent on passing a physical examination to determine if the candidate possesses the physical capabilities necessary to perform the essential functions. Ability to read, write, and perform basic math. Ability to handle and lift heavy kitchen utensils and supplies (e.g. 40 pounds) Good physical health. Some knowledge of and experience in basic food preparation, service, and/or sanitation methods and a desire to provide high-quality customer service are strongly preferred.
Anticipated Hiring Range Salary Range:
$15 - $16.32 hourly
