Direct Hire Cafeteria / Food Service Workers

Job Description Positions May Include:

Cooks

• Prepare and cook food according to recipes and instructions. Food Service Servers
• Serve meals, assist customers/students, restock food and supplies, and maintain a clean serving area. Utility Workers
• Wash dishes, clean kitchen and cafeteria areas, take out trash, assist with food preparation, and perform general kitchen duties.

Responsibilities:

Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines. Prepare, serve, and handle food properly. Maintain clean and organized work areas. Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment as needed. Stock food and supplies. Follow instructions from kitchen or cafeteria supervisors. Work cooperatively with staff and maintain a positive attitude. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Previous cafeteria, restaurant, food service, or kitchen experience preferred but not required for all positions Must be background eligible Must be drug-free and able to pass a drug screening Reliable transportation and dependable attendance Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team Maintain proper personal hygiene and follow food safety requirements Positive attitude and professional work ethic
