A Busser, Banquet Worker, or Cafeteria Attendant assists with food service at a restaurant, large banquet hall or cafeteria. Removes used dishes, sets tables with clean dishes and linens, replenishes foods served at food stations or buffet tables, and provides water, coffee or other beverages for patrons.

Essential Duties Operate a cash register and handle payments. Prepare and serve food, including grill and fryer operations. Clean tables, dishes, floors, and work areas. Empty trash and maintain cafeteria cleanliness. Assist with other food service duties as assigned. The preceding duties have been provided as examples of the essential types of work performed by positions within this job classification. Management reserves the right to add, modify, change or rescind work assignments as needed. Qualifications Dependable and punctual. Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light physical work. This position is a part of the Federal work-study program, to qualify you must be a State Fair Community College student enrolled in the current semester and eligible for Financial Aid thorough the Federal Work-study program. The job is in a fast-paced environment that requires good communication, customer service and problem solving skills. Candidate will possess a working knowledge of computers, excellent oral and written communications skills, demonstrate student centeredness and be able to interact with a broad range of people with diverse backgrounds in a positive manner. Demonstrate a commitment to the philosophy and mission of the community college. Employment will require a criminal background check at College expense. Preference is given to Missouri residents.
