Responsibilities Clear and reset tables efficiently to prepare for new guests, ensuring cleanliness and proper table setting according to restaurant standards Assist with cleaning and sanitation of dining areas, including sweeping, mopping, and wiping down surfaces to maintain hygiene standards Buss tables promptly after guests leave, removing used dishes, glassware, silverware, and trash in accordance with sanitation protocols Support food runners and servers by delivering dishes or beverages when needed, facilitating smooth service flow Handle manual lifting of heavy trays or boxes safely while following proper lifting practices to prevent injury Communicate effectively with team members regarding table status and guest requests to ensure seamless service Maintain a high level of customer service by greeting guests politely and responding promptly to their needs Qualifications Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential Knowledge of sanitation practices, food handling, and safety regulations within the food industry Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and assist guests effectively Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting with safe lifting practices Experience with table setting, serving support, or catering is a plus but not mandatory A positive attitude, reliability, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospitality setting Join us as a CHAR Restaurant Busser and be part of a vibrant team dedicated to creating memorable dining experiences.
