Duties Prepare and serve breakfast items with attention to quality and presentation, ensuring all dishes meet food safety standards. Greet guests warmly in person, taking their orders accurately and providing friendly, attentive service throughout their visit. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently to assist in food preparation and cooking processes. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all food prep areas, dining spaces, and kitchen equipment by following proper sanitizing procedures. Handle cash transactions accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems, process payments, and provide receipts while maintaining excellent customer service. Assist with food handling and portioning to ensure consistency and adherence to dietary guidelines or special requests. Support food safety management practices by adhering to hygiene standards, proper storage procedures, and handling protocols for all ingredients. Skills Proven experience in fine dining or restaurant environments with a focus on breakfast or brunch service. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, food safety sanitizing procedures, and general food handling practices. Ability to operate kitchen equipment such as grills, ovens, coffee machines, and dishwashers safely and effectively. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests in person. Basic math skills for processing cash transactions accurately and managing order totals. Familiarity with POS systems for order entry and payment processing. Experience with wine knowledge or beverage service is a plus for enhancing guest experiences during breakfast hours. Ability to handle weight in the workplace safely during food prep or cleaning tasks while maintaining proper manual handling techniques. Previous experience in catering, banquet settings, or hospitality roles is highly desirable.
