Job Description

Overview:
Emma Keys is a local burger & hot dog restaurant in the historic Lindley Park neighborhood. We operate in a collaborative open-kitchen environment and are seeking to hire 1-2 employees to join our awesome staff (15-30) hours/week with opportunity to increase). Interviews will be prioritized based upon experience and schedule flexibility. Because we are an open kitchen, all employees handle both customer service & kitchen tasks. Prior restaurant/food service experience preferred. Please include your availability and work history with your application in addition to at least one professional reference.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist with food preparation and handling (cutting vegetables, assembling sandwiches, making milkshakes, etc.)
  • Operate the fryer and/or grill stations while maintaining awareness of ticket times
  • Assist with the "build" station where meals get assembled to ensure correctness
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the dining area and kitchen
  • Follow proper food safety procedures
  • Assist with dishwashing and cleaning duties (floors, bathrooms, taking out trash, etc.)
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operation of the food service department
  • Help with food running and bussing tables as needed
  • Greet customers and assist with the register as needed
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in food service
  • Knowledge of food handling and preparation techniques
  • Demonstrated customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic understanding of food safety guidelines
  • Must be available to work weekends, evenings, and some holidays Please note that this position may require standing for long periods of time and lifting heavy objects.
Compensation:
Competitive pay! Base hourly pay + tips (averaging a minimum of $15/hour and up to $19/hour)
