Description:
Job Summary The Food Service Worker performs a variety of tasks throughout the kitchen. This position will comply will all cafeteria, food and beverage regulation guidelines outlined in the facility Food Service manual. This position includes duties related to utility, food preparation, assembly tasks, and cafeteria duties. The patients' demographics range from newborn through children, adolescents, adults and geriatrics. There is minimal access to patient health information. Job Qualifications High School diploma or GED preferred Previous experience in food service desired Excellent customer service skills Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time Follow the compliance and standards required by food/beverage regulations outlined in the facility manual Ensure compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements Effectively communicate with all staff
Shift:
36 hrs. per week, 12 hr. shifts.
Requirements:
Essential Physical Requirements Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for position to include standing, bending, stooping, and sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Stand and walk for most of the day. Must be able to withstand heat and temperature changes while going in and out of refrigerated or freezer areas.
