Job Overview:
The Food Service Worker position performs a wide variety of routine tasks in kitchen, tray line and dishwashing areas according to standard practices and procedures and complying with regulatory requirements, ensuring that customer needs and satisfaction are met.
Qualifications:
Preferred:
High School diploma or equivalent Previous food service experience
Scheduling Requirements:
Shifts vary such as 6:00am-2:30pm, 10:30am-7:00pm and 11:00am-7:30pm Rotating weekends and holidays
Full Time Essential Functions:
Appropriately prepares food, nourishment and feedings as per therapeutic instruction Checks that all food items and refrigerated equipment are of proper temperature Collects, processes, and disposes of trash, cans, bottles, and recyclables to disposal area properly Performs general routine cleaning duties and nonroutine duties as directed on various equipment and supplies Prepares, loads, transports food trucks and delivers trays as appropriate Scrapes, scours, and rinses pots, utensils and equipment Serves late trays as requested and pick-ups as required Serves on tray assembly line in assigned position involving duties such as starter, server, soups, desserts, and hot beverages Stows all food items and supplies in designated areas Washes pots and pans and performs heavy cleaning duties Performs other duties as assigned Records food and dish machine temperatures daily and alerts supervisor if temperatures are out of range
