Responsibilities Prepare and serve breakfast items according to established recipes and presentation standards, ensuring freshness and quality. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the breakfast area, including tables, counters, and food stations, following food safety sanitizing procedures. Operate kitchen equipment such as toasters, coffee machines, grills, and food warmers safely and efficiently. Handle food with proper techniques to ensure safety and hygiene, including food handling and processing cash transactions at the POS system. Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, assembling, or portioning ingredients while adhering to food safety management protocols. Restock supplies regularly to ensure the breakfast station remains fully equipped for service. Engage in friendly in-person customer service by greeting guests warmly, answering questions about menu items, and accommodating dietary needs or special requests. Follow manual handling procedures when lifting or moving heavy items like bulk supplies or large trays. Support catering or banquet setups when required, ensuring timely delivery of breakfast services for events or group bookings. Maintain a clean working environment by adhering to cleaning schedules and sanitation standards throughout your shift. Experience Previous experience in food service or hospitality roles is highly preferred; experience in fine dining or restaurant settings is a plus. Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and food handling regulations is essential. Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment such as coffee machines, grills, ovens, or POS systems enhances your effectiveness in this role. Experience with catering or banquet service demonstrates versatility in managing diverse breakfast service needs. Barista experience or knowledge of wine can be an added advantage for creating specialty beverages or enhancing guest interactions. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in person are vital. Ability to handle weighty items safely and efficiently while maintaining a high level of cleanliness and organization.
