The Dining Facility Attendant at CRW-ECI is responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary environment in the dining facility to ensure a safe and pleasant dining experience for all patrons. This role is vital in supporting the overall operations of the dining facility by ensuring that all areas are kept in pristine condition.Key Responsibilities:
A Day in the Life of a Mess Attendant/Food Service Worker at CW•ECI Management Group:
Start your shift by setting up your work area, gathering supplies, and preparing the dish station. Collect, sort, and rinse dirty dishes from the dining and service areas. Run dishes through the commercial dish machine and hand‑wash pots and pans that need extra cleaning. Sanitize and put away clean dishes so they're ready for the next meal. Keep the galley clean by sweeping, mopping, wiping surfaces, and removing food scraps throughout the shift. Empty trash and recycling, replace liners, and follow proper disposal procedures. Reset the dining area between meals by wiping tables, refilling condiments, and restocking napkins and supplies. Assist with meal‑service setup by stocking trays, utensils, cups, and other serving items. Follow supervisor instructions to maintain military sanitation and safety standards. Work with your team during busy mealtimes to keep service running smoothly. End your shift by completing final cleaning tasks, putting away supplies, checking out with your supervisor, and leaving the area ready for the next crew.Required Education:
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.Required Experience:
Previous experience in a food service or restaurant environment is advantageous. Experience with dishwashing and maintaining cleanliness in a fast-paced setting is preferred.Required Skills and Abilities:
Ability to effectively mop, sweep, and wipe tables to maintain a clean and sanitary environment. Strong attention to detail to ensure all areas meet health and safety standards. Capability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a dynamic environment. Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices. Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks. Excellent time management skills to efficiently complete assigned duties.Available shifts:
2 Shift Supervisors- 35-40 hours 1-2 Part-time Supervisors
- 20-34 Hours 4-6 Full-time DFA
- 35-40 hours 5-7 Part-time DFA
- 15-25 hours
