The Daughters of Charity, provides a safe, welcoming home for the retired Sisters of the Daughters of Charity Ministries. We offer independent living, assisted living and memory care and our team plays a vital role in creating an environment where Sisters feel respected. We are currently seeking Per Diem Dining Assistants to support dining operations and meal service on our campus in Menands, NY. Our Dining Assistants play an important role in daily life at our campus. We are looking for compassionate, dependable individuals who enjoy working as part of a team and take pride in providing excellent service to others. This role reports to the Dietary Director. What You'll Do Perform a variety of tasks necessary to assist in the care and maintenance of work area, equipment and supplies. Perform various tasks necessary to assist the cooks with the preparation of scheduled meals. Carries out functions necessary to maintain the highest level of cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen. Plan, organize, and perform functions necessary to prepare breakfast, dinner, supper and other events for dining rooms. Keep the dining rooms and kitchens clean and organized. Maintain an adequate supply of food items needed for meals and/or snacks. We're looking for a reliable, punctual, and team-oriented individual who is attentive, respectful, and responsive to the needs and requests of others. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area, and is always willing to step in and assist where needed. They should be able to consistently follow directions and adhere to food safety standards. Previous experience in food service, hospitality, healthcare, or senior living is preferred.
