Job Description

Distinguishing Features of the
Class:
Assists in the routine preparation and serving of food, in the cleaning of dining and kitchen areas and equipment. This is routine manual work involving the simple preparation and serving of food and cleaning of kitchen equipment, silver and dishes. Employees in the class work under immediate supervision. The incumbent does related work as required.
Typical Work Activities:
Assists in serving and with simple preparation of food; Helps check-in supplies and cleans, peels, shreds vegetables and fruits; Stores food supplies and delivers to cooking area; Puts food into bowls, cups, plates, trays; Cleans cooking and kitchen equipment and utensils; Cleans areas where food is prepared, served or stored; Washes dishes, pots, pans and other food conveyors or receptacles; Keeps simple records as needed.
Full Performance Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Personal Characteristics:
Basic knowledge of food serving and cleaning, cleaning supplies and housekeeping tasks, ability to follow simple oral and written directions; physical strength and stamina, cleanliness; neatness.
Minimum Qualifications:
Reliable transportation, and ability to lift 15+ lbs.

From $18.18 per hour
