Job Summary The main responsibility of this position is to politely and efficiently pass trays to each patient. Essential Functions Works different trayline stations as per worksheet. (Starter, milk, juice/salad, coffee, server, runner.) Wears gloves when handling ready to eat foods. Reads tray tickets and assembles patient trays accurately. Transport patient trucks to units. Delivers patient trays to rooms using 2 patient ID. Performs service recovery after all trays have been delivered. Prepares and delivers missing and or requested items for patients following procedures as per diet order. Provide alternate menu to ensure adequate nutrition status if patient refuses meal. Completes service recovery sheets accurately. Picks up patient trays from assigned unit. Scrapes trays in dishroom. Works in dishroom as loader, unloader, or helper. Cleans, sanitizes and air dry all trays, china, silverware, cups and soup bowls following standard procedures. Wears gloves when handling patient silverware. Practices universal precautions. Demonstrates the ability to communicate with pediatric, adolescent, young adult. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School diploma preferred Able to work with Nursing, patients, Food Service Department Able to read and write English well.
