Job Description

PART-TIME BREAKFAST ATTENDANT

Non-Exempt Position Summary:
The Breakfast Attendant is responsible for preparing, stocking, maintaining, and cleaning the hotel breakfast area while providing friendly and professional service to guests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Set up the breakfast area before scheduled service. Prepare basic breakfast items according to hotel procedures. Prepare and maintain coffee, beverages, and service supplies. Replenish food, beverages, utensils, and other breakfast items. Greet guests and respond to questions and requests. Monitor food presentation, quality, availability and QA assurance. Clean tables, counters, serving areas, and equipment. Maintain a clean and sanitary breakfast area throughout service. Follow food-handling, sanitation, and safety procedures. Monitor breakfast inventory and notify management of supply needs. Break down and clean the breakfast area following service. All other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong customer service skills. Knowledge of basic food preparation and sanitation practices. Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work efficiently during busy breakfast periods.
Required Experience and Education:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous food service, hotel, or customer service experience preferred. Food safety certification may be required based on local requirements.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks. Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
Working Conditions:
Hotel breakfast and food-service environment. Exposure to hot food, beverages, food-service equipment, and cleaning products. Early-morning (5am to 11 am), weekend, and holiday availability may be required.
Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 - 25.0 per week
